Im finally glad the TMNT books realized that bringing Shredder back after so long was the sensible move due to how the other villains after him couldn’t fill his shoes-especially Karai herself. I am curious what happened to Karai here as it’s interesting she wasn’t in this issue now that the OG Shredder is back.

Awesome! It almost feels like we’re watching the beginning of a ninja-themed video game. I like how we’re starting off with seeing Saki starting at Level 1 instead of being the undefeatable boss he usually is.
And that whole “worm” thing going on is an awesome if not seemingly traumatic callback to the classic comics when the Shredder was at his arguably most monstrous.
It’s great to see how his character has evolved to being more than just a simple villain and to see that he’s still got his own story to tell.
