Made an account just to comment because of how much people are losing it in the comments, because really guys. The concept of the absolute comics is that they are different from the mainline universes, given a darker twist. The names are references to the prior material not the same thing. Also its even worse when i’ve only seen people complaining in the comments on Absolute Green Lantern and none of the others on this site, I think all the absolutes (other then Martian Manhunter [PEAK]) are on a similar level of writing and art. If you cannot deal with the idea that the lore is different for a series of comics you can just not read them, sure read the first issue see if you like it. But after that why continue reading something you don’t like.

Kinda does go against what the Emotional Spectrum is, but the Absolute Universe is meant to be different from mainline, so I suppose itโs a unique take to it
does not make sense, magic, speedforce, ememotional spectrum are all fundamental forces of creation unless this ” absolute ” universe is literaly built outside of creation

Big Dawg, The Absolute Universe isn’t following the mainline continuity whatsoever. It is legitimately Darkseid’s version of a universe of corruption. I think the horror elements fit into that narrative nicely. Everyone wants to cry and bitch about not having fresh ideas, but then when they do get them it’s a bitch fit.
