I’m not left or right. I don’t care about any of that crap but when I read my comic books I read em expecting to escape from all that nonsense not to read some writers political wet dreams. What happened to good story telling. Marvel comics is going down the crapper
You like it, thats cool I’m not gonna insult you like these other weird people who I’m sure are kids calling me a “bitch” for not having the same opinion as them. But I have to disagree about marvel peak . In my opinion marvel was at its peak 1998 to 2010 ish , with all the marvel knights titles , marvel max , civil war etc.
I personally believe that an entire company making statements we no longer can (look at C.K. and how if you don’t cry you get fired), is the type of relief I need. New Gen is doing really well, and if you’re looking for light-hearted, def go to Ultimate Spider-Man.
So, I know that most of you are young. So, when stuff like this bleeds into what you enjoy…you pay attention.
Remember when superman outed the KKK and members started leaving because their own kids were laughing at them for all the stupid stuff they did at their meetings while still claiming to be the master race?
This is that.
One group is actively destroying rights and freedoms.
And there are too many people that don’t want to hear anything outside of their own lives.
So, you have to be told.
While there is still a chance to tell people.

“Die fascist piece of shit” just sounds sooo cringe and edge lord. I read it and laughed out loud literally. And not in a good way. Like I said politics are lame I don’t have a “side” if a writer makes a story that lines up with current events cool , but if they’re literally cramming their obvious beliefs and ideologies in your face it’s pretty much propaganda and annoying.
It’s nice that you have the privilege to be able to ignore politics. Good for you. Not everyone is that fortunate – but if you have a problem with the factual assessment that fascists are the absolute worst, then that’s a you problem. Not the authors. Social justice, as always been an integral part of every superhero going back over 80 years. If this is news to you, if you never noticed how political the very existance ocharacters like The X-Men or Avengers are, then you just never understood any of the stories – be it from 80s, 90s or 2000s.
Punisher Max, flat out called out companies like Monsanto, as “great beasts that craved blood”.
