The art is retarded. I canโt believe this is a marvel book.

I like this, but I feel like it skipped an issue. When was Tony made able to be in multiple places at once? When did his eyes become permanently like that? Where is he fighting South American mutant assassins?
I feel like we are missing part of the story by focusing on another part, especially when the prior issue skipped the Ultimates themselves entirely.
Tony fragmenting himself to be in multiple places at once was introduced in Issue 13, and with the call back to “thinking in four dimensions.” He’s doing so to handle more and more, but is (literally) spreading himself too thin, costing him his humanity, and is likely going to lead to him becoming this universe’s Kang that was introduced all the way back in Ultimate Invasion.

I do think DC’s Absolute Universe is probably a better product than the new Ultimate Universe because it’s cleaner. While there is the Darkseid stuff, you need almost 0 backstory/lore to enjoy the Absolute comics. While much of this new Ultimate Universe requires a lot of knowledge of the old one and the Maker.
But sometimes that mess that is comics makes something fantastic. What an issue, indeed. Ultimates is comfortably the best series in the new Ultimate Universe for me. Hope they stick the landing.
