LOL! Black Cat has always been portrayed as sexy, but this is probably the most adorable that she’s ever been. Seeing her wake up with her face mask on, holding a Jeff the Shark plushie, I couldn’t help but keep reading. And then seeing her attempt to flirt with that mermaid (where the hell did she come from btw?), I was hearing “Under the Sea!” playing in the back of my mind the moment I saw that.
I’ve always loved seeing MJ and Black Cat team up. There’s just something oddly appealing seeing two of Spider-Man’s most iconic romantic interests getting together for a common goal. They have just such awesome chemistry together and are such BFFs. And this newest team-up is made all the better now that MJ has left Paul and his manbun behind. Seriously, that last get-together with Black Cat and Jackpot made me want to puke out of my eyes because I couldn’t stand seeing MJ with that veggie-burger-eating douche and seeing what a simp he was. But that’s all in the past now.
I truly hope we get to see what kind of content is on that audition tape of MJ’s that she’d desperately and literally dive into the Negative Zone to get it back. There’s no way it won’t be either funny or embarrassing as hell, maybe both. Just gotta hope that Black Cat doesn’t decide to make a copy of it.
