Likewise. It’s like they finally gave a voice to the fans’ opinion of that douche, and the fact that it’s coming from that kid somehow stings even more.

symbiotes don’t activate spider sense…I’m still curious to see how this story progresses

I enjoy the clown fest of dialog from carnage, it was pure carnage. but the part with MJ feeling hot for Flash is not working for me , It better be a a quick flame like peter and the alien girl Rae. because they not going to last. why do these writers or better yet the garbage of editors at marvel want to keep peter from his one true love MJ . they are best of friends , they know each other from in and outs and been though all the up and down of life. the only other person that peter should be with, if they continue to torment (pun not intending) us fans with this separation is Felicia ( black cat) . make one of these woman peter baby momma . Give my hero a damn legacy already !!! even wolverine got 4 kids already, one son and 3 daughters !! and hulk got kids
Yeah! Let Peter finally grow up already. There’s a reason why everyone loves the current Ultimate Spider-Man more than the Earth-616 version right now. Let him marry the love of his life, like he’s supposed to be, and enter the next phase of his life. We’ve seen him when he was young and starting out as Spider-Man, we’ve seen him get through college and his young adult life, now it’s time to see him enter that phase where he moves on and has a family of his own. Like you pointed out, Wolverine has kids aplenty, Hulk, Mr. and Mrs. Fantastic, Spider-Woman, Tigra, Ben Grimm and Alicia adopted kids, Luke Cage & Jessica Jones, Hawkeye, even Jubilee has Shogo. It’s time for Spider-Man to join the club.
Quite frankly, reading that while but, with Venom and Peter both commenting on MJ’s subconscious signs of attraction that they recognize, it reminded me of Sheldon Cooper commenting on Penny’s “famously ravenous nether regions” on the Big Bang Theory when he was postulating on her number of sexual partners, and telling her, “It’s not too late. You can always go out and look for number 32.”
Can MJ just not be on her own?
She even told Flash that it was way too soon after Paul for her to even think about being in a relationship.
And she seemingly poured cold water on that idea with the whole “Maybe box”.
That being said, they’ve certainly been laying the bread crumbs for a possible entanglement between the two of them, but it just seems so out of the blue.
And does she REALLY want to be involved with another of Felicia’s exes?
And Peter, trying to be supportive of the idea of it all, even when MJ is forcefully insisting that there is nothing going on between them ….
Come on.
love big bang theory, one of the last good comedy sitcom of cable /tv era. It the marvel editor mindset , that peter stuck in a depress /drama single life and mj or any female lead ( ALIEN girl rae is not wifey/girlfriend material ) to keep far from peter is making better /produce better story/sales . which in turn is BS and is having the opposite affect . u want a character to have progress or grown , unfortunately the best and true flagship of this company have been put in the gutter and crap to make a ms marvel look like she a saint or wannabe mascot for this company. That why we consumer loyal fans is piss off with the way the editors and writers are doing to spidey, to have a page to have venom tell u that your ex is having feeling for someone else afront of u and u say u ok with it ( worst writing ) to show peter is a simp or push over , while his life kind a suck these days in that department. It like if my ex would call me and say , hey I like see one of your friend , can u hook us up ( worst of all he was your Bulley back in grade going up to high school putting u though hell!!!) u see the sense in the writing these editors / idiots are giving us and they think it justified!!

Okay, so I guess this is where the upcoming “Spider Academy” gets its start. I forgot how insanely strong Norman Osborne actually is, so it’s actually pretty impressive he didn’t mess more people up when he was going around as Spider-Man.
That part where Spider-Man dived to save MJ looked like it could be a good way to restart their relationship together, if only as a beginning. Which is why I’m going to be insanely pissed if the writers decide to go and hook MJ up with Flash Thompson after Zeb Wells already did enough to ruin her character. I can’t even think of a time prior to this that those two ever even come in contact with one another, but now, after getting out of one ill-conceived relationship, putting her together with him seems like a really bad idea, especially after she finally ditched that douche, Paul.
And speaking of that douche Paul, Dylan Brock gave voice to what the fans of Spider-Man have been saying about that colossal dipsh!t. Everything Dylan said about Paul in 2nd to last panel was so right on the money that I think Kelly deserves a prize just for that. Somebody finally recognized and stated why Paul is so hated. That wasn’t Dylan Brock talking right there, it was simply common sense. And I really hope Zeb Wells reads this and realizes just how badly he screwed over the entire Spider-Man comic, but his own career. Now I’m actually hoping Paul doesn’t die, because then he’d be a martyr of some kind. I want him to simply fade out of existence.
After feeling some true empathy for Eddie Brock after seeing his father get killed, I really do hope he manages to save his relationship with Dylan. This arc would be a great way to undo the damage done to all the meaningful relationships that Zeb Wells messed up, if the writers can do it right.

I called it. They are going to 100 percent knock off paul. Heโll get a little hero time at the end throwing himself between Dylan and the killer and get taken out right as mj gets there. Sheโll blame herself and it gives editorial a reason to keep her and Pete separate moving forward.
I can definitely see that happening, and as much as I would personally love to see that man-bun-wearing asshat get mauled to death, hell, I think Paul deserves to die more than the Shocker did, but I also hope it doesn’t happen for the exact reasons you just stated. I don’t want MJ to get all hung up on a guy who wasn’t worth the ink it took to sketch him on paper. Everything Dylan said about Paul in this issue was 100% true, and he doesn’t deserve to be the source of any kind of emotional baggage, much less even a foot note in the grand scheme of things.
For a long time, I kept hoping beyond hope that Paul was actually some sort of servant or ally of Mephisto, meant to keep MJ away from Peter because Mephisto is deathly afraid of their relationship. That would be the perfect way to end this ill-conceived crime against comics, and it would be a great way to make MJ hate Paul as much as the rest of us do.
Honestly, if Paul DID die trying to protect Dylan, it would kind of prove Dylan’s point that Paul is trying to get everyone to like him.
It would be kind of fitting for Paul to get mortally wounded protecting Dylan, and for Dylan to ask him why he would sacrifice himself for someone who has been so awful to him , and for Paul to admit that he was doing it to impress MJ, and she overhears his admission, and just shales her head at how wrong-headed he was, noting that Peter never saved anyone because he was hoping for their approval, but because it was the right thing to do, and that’s the difference between the two men
Now, that right there, would be something I would like to see. Not only would that truly showcase the cavernous difference between both men’s characters, like you said, but it would be an awesome way to display some quality writing that shows something unexpected and original if Paul were to be mortally wounded, with MJ realizing his character rather than feeling guilty that about Paul’s death, because I think that would be both lame and obvious. What you suggested would be the perfect way of ending one of the biggest mistakes ever inflicted on comics.
The absolute only thing that would make this even better is the hope that MJ doesn’t go and hook up with Flash, and they stay just friends, as MJ has stated. Seriously, if they’re not going to pair her back up with Peter anytime soon, then at the very least, let her go her own way for a while and re-establish her character as a strong, independent woman. After how badly Zeb Wells trashed her character, they need to do something to make her popular with the fans again, something that doesn’t involve her jumping from one bad relationship into another. And after what we’ve all seen with Ultimate Mary-Jane Parker, and how successful that comic title was compared to the mainstream comic, it should be painfully obvious what the fans want. If the writers and editors are smart, they’ll start working towards delivering that.
