Okay, I was actually dreading the Power Girl/Punisher crossover the instant I saw that disgusting man-bun and the simp it’s attached to. This is a whole different art style, but I’d recognize that human-shaped douchebag anywhere. I told myself that if Power Girl ended up hooking up with that sin against comics, I was going to throw up out of principal. It was bad enough that Paul was able to get with Mary Jane Watson of all people, and even then, it was because of mutual trauma, but there’s no way in hell someone so far out of his league like Power Girl would voluntarily go out with someone like him.
Instead, I can honestly say that for the first time in his entire putrescent existence, Paul provided some entertainment by being the pathetic beta-male that he is. Someone in DC must really hate Paul as much as most fans do to portray him how the fans actually see him. The only question I have is, “How could anyone mistake that tool for the immortal cannibalistic caveman, Vandal Savage”? And of course, classic Paul Rabin, just like in that Black Cat/Jackpot comic, he simped out of danger like the colossal wuss that he is.
I realize that this was supposed to be a Spider-Man/Superman crossover, but the Power Girl/Punisher crossover stole the limelight. Here we have a classic example of a what a beta male looks like compared to an Alpha Male. I never would have dreamed of seeing Kara and Frank hooking up, but after spending five excruciating minutes with Paul, the Punisher must seem like a dream come true in comparison.
That segment with Lois and Mary Jane was also pretty entertaining. Like how the danger and madness of being around superheroes and supervillains was old hat to them. And then, of course, Gambit comes alone and steals the show.
