I actually hate when some I like so much comes to an end. It’s something I always quietly dread, especially when there’s so much more that can be done. This is a perfect example of that. This Ultimate franchise has the potential and has proven to be more popular than a lot of the mainstream titles and can go so much further than this. It’ such a shame that Marvel is bringing this to a close. At least they had the grace to bring back Spider-Man. Seeing him die almost made me quit reading, especially when he was probably the most popular Ultimate Marvel character.
There can be no doubt about that. As much as I hate to say it, because I really enjoy the Ultimate comics, it seems to me like they also use it as a means to raise their sales when the mainstream comics aren’t doing as well. I mean, the statistics show that this new Ultimate comics line blew the mainstream titles out of the water when it came to popularity and sales.

You can be certain that as soon as the sales start dipping again they will bring back the Ultimate Universe in another form.
