Blackhawk (Volume 1) was initially published Quality Comics. Beginning with issue #9, it continued the numbering sequence from
Uncle Sam Quarterly. It was published as a quarterly until #19 (June 1948), when the series changed to bimonthly publication, before becoming a monthly at #31 (June 1950). From issue #108 (January 1957) onward, Blackhawk was published by DC Comics.
Vol 2: March 1988 – May 1988
Blackhawk has his American citizenship revoked amidst accusations of communist affiliations, while an actual subversive within the US government works to acquire an atomic bomb for the Axis forces
