Mystery in Space was a science-fiction anthology title that published 110 issues between 1951 and 1966. In 1980, it opened up for another seven issues before shutting down again in 1981. Its most notable recurring featured character was the popular Adam Strange; other recurring features included the Knights of the Galaxy, Interplanetary Insurance, Inc., Space Cabbie, Hawkman, Space Ranger, the Star Rovers, and Ultra the Multi-Alien. Notable creators included writers like John Broome and Gardner Fox, and artists like Murphy Anderson and Gil Kane.

Mystery in Space (Volume 2) is an eight-issue limited series published by DC Comics from November of 2006 to June of 2007. The series focuses on the character of Captain Comet and an entity known as the Weird.
