Genres: Action, Adventure, Superhero
Publisher: Panini Comics
Vol 1: 2004
This UK-only magazine from Panini generally featured a couple of six-page short stories in each issue, many of which featured Spider-Man. The rest of the magazine was given over to the shameless promotion and advertising of fan-boy favorite video games, DVDs and toys.
The title ran for thirty-odd issues. Starting with issue #19, the pair of original six-page stories dropped to a single six-page story and the magazine went from three-weekly to four-weekly release schedule.
Shortly afterwards (issue #24 or #25) the cover layout underwent a revamp to feature a red background, and the last remnant of original UK-written Marvel story content was ditched in favor of a simple reprint of a full-length U.S. comic.
In 2007 the title was finally put out of its misery, to be replaced shortly afterward on 2008 by Marvel Heroes (UK Magazine) which featured less advertising, a more Marvel-specific focus, and a return to the original format offering a pair of original UK-written short stories.
