The Authority goes up against foes that threaten our universe, parallel universes, and even existence itself!

Vol 2: July 2003 – October 2004
The Authority returns and they now have Jenny Quantum-the Spirit of the 21st Century on their side! The team continues their mission to fend off massive threats to the Wildstorm Universe. But they may find that the biggest threat of all lies on their home turf. After an incident involving the United States government that threatens to bring about the end of the world, The Authority decide that it’s not enough to simply police their world. So they decide the only way to help the world is to take control of it, starting with the United States of America. Needless to say, there are forces that are not going to allow this to happen.

Vol 3: December 2006 – May 2007
The Authority finds themselves in a world without superhumans. But can a world that is not used to having super-powered-beings around handle The Authority’s presence?
This series is continued under the volume titled The Authority: The Lost Year. The two issues were also collected in a single issue to catch new reader’s up, The Authority: The Lost Year Reader.

Vol 4: October 2008 – January 2011
After the events of Number of the Beast, The Authority team is a shadow of its former self. The mighty truly have fallen as The Carrier has crashed into, and fused with, the city of London. Jenny Quantum and The Doctor are both missing. Apollo can no longer survive beneath the dark cloud that blankets most of Europe and Asia so he must exist high in the atmosphere where the sun still shines. Jack Hawksmoor is severely crippled having experienced the simultaneous destruction of all the world’s cities. The Engineer has been striped of her powers thanks to the EM Pulse. Only Swift and Midnighter escaped major injury. Now they must regroup and try to help as many of the survivors as they can while trying to find a way to restore the world.
