Iβm SO TIRED of everyone getting their guts ripped out or split in half and surviving (oh but not Oliver cuz we need βstakesβ) nothing matters if everyone survives. Mark and Nolan survive their entire guts ripped out and βheal nicelyβ but now? Sh*t is getting dumb
That is an, in this case, interesting adjective which is miss-used extraordinarily.

bro dont give a f*ck about his only brother being dead and dont even start about the power scaling and eve just bringing them back to life but not oliver worst issue ever
agreed. at surface level the issue’s really dope but when you think about it nothing in it makes sense. Mark being able to quickly pop Onaan’s neck but not doing so earlier, Eve just erasing all stakes with her ressurrection ability (also, she could revive Mark, but not Oliver, for some reason), Mark not caring about his brother’s death, Eve not using her powers efficiently to defeat Ursaal, Thragg not finishing off Mark and Eve, Terra getting her powers TEN YEARS earlier than usual, etc – it’s a complete mess.

If mark can pop his head off so easily I don’t understand why he didn’t do it before. Terra was in danger the entire time. It makes no sense for him to hold back in this situation. Also, are we not gonna talk about Terra receiving her powers over a decade early? (These critiques aside, this was an absolutely peak issue. I love this universe.)

So Conquest’s head can get turned into potato salad but Oliver can’t survive being pierced through the chest? He’s like, the fourth person that this happened to
It’s their heart, the brain is secondary to their heart as they require their heart to heal and stay alive, the second the heart is destroyed they’re basically dead in a matter of seconds if not minutes.
Conquest had no damage to his heart so he could recover from his head being turned to paste, Mark took so long to heal from getting gutted because the damage was so close to his heart. Cut off the head and they die, destroy their heart and they FOR SURE die, it’s weird but that’s just how they work, it becomes a primary plot point pretty quick here too.
