Love how the turtles no longer have to hide their existence from the world. Now that they’re no longer fugitives, being hunted by shadowy government agencies, ninja cults or alien generals, and are now celebrated heroes of the city they’ve always defended, it’ll be fun to see how they actually interact with the world now that they’ve reconciled as brothers.
The irony that Hale is now the animal locked in a cage isn’t lost on me, and I actually find much amusement in it. After all the pain & BS he caused, and being stupid enough to piss off a magic-wielding, possibly mentally unstable Karai, he had this coming.
Seeing those cameo lines “Heroes in a Half Shell” and “Go, Ninja, Go!” actually made me laugh. Growing up on the cartoons and movies, it was impossible for me not to notice.
Of course, they were going to bring Splinter back at some point, he’s integral to the whole existence of the Ninja Turtles. I just feel like the way he was brought back was pretty hack-kneed, like there wasn’t a whole lot of effort in it.
Can’t wait to see how this new chapter for the Ninja Turtles goes.
Hopefully it’ll be more kid friendly. I dunno why the writer was trying the make the cowabunga party animals all “grim and gritty.” This is TMNT, not Frank Miller’s Daredevil…

That was a joke since the Original TMNT comics were a homage/parody of Miller’s Daredevil. Grimmer and Grittier!
