butcher in the comics feels more complete and likable.
the show kinda portrays him as this shady manipulative guy in the first episode but these first two issues give him a bit more depth. i thought it was a subtle wholesome moment when he apologized to MM about the coaster thing and then sternly explaining to janine the type of man her father is. i assume his relationship with his father is still the same as the show.. so that line about appreciating how good a father MM is hits home a little harder.
