It was a alright issue, it building up to the climax for the other parts and to see venom bring up some old wound with MJ and peter , kind of help to show that they still care and have feeling for each other and take a slow time to fully reunited them down the line . slowly by surely wipe the stains of Zeb well !!! Venom is acting like the wing man for peter , if he didn’t realized by now !!
May his script pages be forever cursed.
I get that he was probably working off editorial orders (a pox on Nick Lowe), but why oh why did they let him destroy Mary Jane’s characterization so completely in the process?
Oh so very true , and that editor is a idiot to agree to this, The last amazing spiderman vol gave me hope with MJ and peter writing the wrong back together, then Zeb and nick %%$$## it up !!!

First of all, that scene showing Carnage with Eddie’s eyeball, that was some surreal like something out of Parasyte or Resident Evil! Second, poor Eddie. Whoever this Torment guy is, he needs to get handled like how the Punisher would handle him. I mean, wiping out whole family lines? That’s some old world, next level kind of evil. And that kind of evil needs to be put down for good.
It was cool to see Boomerang holding some kind of wake for Herman and Spider-Man showing respect to the Shocker. I’m still bummed that they killed one of the most iconic Spider-Man rogue’s gallery villains. Shocker’s been in the comics since the damned 60’s, and I don’t think in that whole span of existence, he’s ever been killed. Hopefully, it won’t take them too long to somehow bring him back. Like Spider-Man, I always hoped he’d turn over a new leaf and do something positive with his tech.
Likewise. I thought it was hilarious when the two of them were roommates and that one issue where Boomerang brought Peter to The Bar with No Name for “Spider-Man Trivia Night”.

How much fun could a good writer have with MJ being slowly but surely pushed towards Peter by Venom in an inept match-maker role?
It better than any thing that Zeb wells could come up with .

Boomerang is such a great character, and his chemistry with Peter and Spidey was hilarious. I miss Nick Spencer’s writing with him
