Peter ought to have at least two kids by now, just like his Ultimate Universe counterpart. Heck, maybe even a kid he doesn’t know about. Just like Wolverine, Spider-Man/Peter Parker has gotten around.

Oh, no. Raelith is about to be corrupted by the most insidious force on Earth: The American sticom! Nice to see Peter getting back into the swing of what passes for his “normal” life. I still think he and Daredevil need to have more team-ups because they have very similar values, just different paths that they take on it.

Now, in the truly classic spirit of the Spider-Man way of life, our residential wall-crawling superhero is about to encounter yet another supervillain created through a freak result of super science/industrial accident. A classic telling.

Of course, when I say “classic”, I politely mean, “something that has been done to death”. At the top of my head, there’s Doc Ock, The Lizard, Green Goblin, the Sandman, Electro. Anyone know any others?

There you go. I knew I didn’t cover them all. My point is that there’s a lot of guys in Spider-Man’s rogue’s gallery who seem to follow a specific pattern when it comes to how they became supervillains.

better than random aliens or dimensional magic beings that appear from thin air like Superman’s villains. Spideys are believable and a bit more grounded

That’s true, I will admit that. At the very least, Spidey’s villains are, for the most part, human. And human characters can be related to. I just feel like some themes are a bit exhausted at this point. Though I will give the writers credit for making this guy’s superpowers based on mushrooms, that’s at least new and original.

I really hope the first thing, Brad Winderbaum, will do, would be changed then etire staff of the Spider-editorial and replace them with people who actually care aboot Spider-man, and not some old fart that are still angry that Gween Stacy die or that Peter was married.
