Personally, I think if Cyclops wants to really step up and act like a leader, he needs to lay the hammer down on those two, especially Quentin. What he did was in direct violation of everything the X-Men are supposed to do and stand for. Those people had every right to be afraid at the moment, and if they remembered how Quentin pretty much r@ped the whole town, they’d have every right to want to form a lynch mob.

Well that was a rush end , a least that team Maxine will be dealt with ,I hate kid omega , hope he go on a evil rout for the X-MEN to kick him out of the team. Love to see juggie and Magik eating together, enjoying each other company ( hope for a development down the road with these 2 ) .

I am even more disappointed than I was in the last issue with Temper and Kid Omega. Kid Omega I always knew was going to turn out to be an unethical little sh!t-head, but Temper has taken a gigantic leap away from the morals and ethics she was taught and believed in at the Jean Grey School. If anyone in Merle remembered this absolute violation Kid Omega committed, they’d have every right to want to run the X-Men out of town, and there’d be nothing the X-Men could do to argue against it.
This whole theme of “mutants are always victims” and “humans are always bad” has really gotten stale for me, especially when mutants who are supposed to be heroes turn around and become such moral hypocrites and there have been just as many mutants who were just as bad if not worse than humans and used their powers to do nothing but cause harm.
The only real part of this issue that I really liked was seeing Psylocke say that was going to “fix” Maxine Danger’s cronies’ inability to understand the pain they inflict on others. Not only am I hoping to see what that looks like with the mercenary creeps, but I really, really hope she does that Maxine. For a sociopath who was genetically modified to be physically incapable of feeling empathy or compassion, that would be a better punishment than simply killing her.
Because of how insanely capable and dangerous she is, yes, I agree with you. She is far too dangerous, menacing and immoral to simply let live. She will never stop causing harm because it’s the most effective way for her to get the results she desires and she is absolutely incapable of feeling regret for her actions.
However, having said that, on the flip side, I think she’s caused way too much harm to simply be killed because that would be letting her off easy. I want to see her actually suffer, feel pain and learn what it means to regret what she’s done. I think if Psylocke were to undo the mental modifications the Beyond Corporation had done on her, that would be a more painful punishment than death because now, she no longer has the mental or emotional voids that make her such a ruthless villain and businesswoman. People like her need to feel fear and pain for what they’ve done, not simply killed because then they haven’t learned anything.
Why doesn’t Cyclops ask the Avengers to handle Maxine? I think that would give her so much trouble. I get that she’s too small scale for the Avengers but she is backed by the government and Carol told Scott that the Avengers will have the X-Mens back even against the government.
Yeah, and even for a high-functioning sociopath, who supposedly is incapable of feeling either guilt or fear, the prospect of getting double teamed by both the X-Men and the Avengers would probably remind her what terror feels like.
Do you remember the three laws of krakoa? One of them was kill No human. Temper killed a bunch of human terrorist who killed a mutant. Thus, she was imprisoned in the pit for that crime. I think she brought this up during the beginning of this current X-Men run which is why she now goes by the name Temper.
Huh. I was not aware of that. While there’s is no doubt in my mind that the men she killed most certainly had it coming, I certainly wouldn’t hold it against her by any means, but what she did to get herself landed in the Pit plus this little hissy fit, definitely proves that she has no place with the X-Men if she is not going to bother upholding their values. She should be on thinner ice than Kid Omega at this moment, and Cyclops should definitely make it known that if she can’t abide by the X-Men’s standards, she doesn’t deserve to be one.
It may have been her idea, and I’m sure she wanted it for all the right reasons, but Krakoa and the rest of the Quiet Council turned it into self-righteous, holier-than-thou policy that continued to feed Krakoa arrogance. And that law further compounded Krakoa’s arrogance when X-Force was killing people by the dozens, including Jean Grey, but none of them saw the inside of the Pit. But when Temper, who was still Oya back then, does the exact same thing X-Force did, she was condemned as a criminal. To me, this shows how the Krakoan culture was nothing more than window dressing that allowed them to be as prejudicial and arrogant as they pleased, to get high on their own egos. And now that Krakoa is gone, we see just how little those laws actually meant to some of them.

Love that Scott had the backup plan, so funny for Beast to have his mind blown by that. But ya, Scott never just has 1 plan.
One of the things that I’ve always liked about Cyclops is that he’s pretty much the X-Men version of Captain America.
I was actually satisfied with this. I enjoy Magneto being the voice of reason.
Which should really say how badly Kid Omega and Temper are messing up if a genocidal terrorist like Magneto is giving sound advice.
I’m just glad he was able to grow in his old age. But yeah, those two kids definitely have issues that they need to overcome.

maxine has gotten away too many times, someone needs to kill her

This is where Logan would come in. Unfortunately he’s in Louisiana. π€Just imagine those claws going from her chin and out through her skull!!!π
Do you know what happened to Temper during Krakoa?
Probably not. The Krakoan Era was such a disappointment to me that I didn’t bother reading too much of it.
Do you remember the three laws of krakoa? One of them was kill No human. Temper killed a bunch of human terrorist who killed a mutant. Thus, she was imprisoned in the pit for that crime. Kill no humans was Jean’s idea.
