Could’ve done the homecoming issue better, but now we know that Dr. OM’s son is Kintsugi (his sleeve in the panel is white with gold cracks)

So is it just me, or does Ben seem a lot like Flash Thompson of old?
When he was covering for Peter the last time, he wasn’t nearly so antagonistic.
Unless this is a wrap up of the brief interlude where he’s seen spying on Peter’s double date with MJ and he-who-we-wish-never-existed, acting all evil-portent-like.
And yet ANOTHER example of Zeb Wells’s crappy writing.

That’s not MJ, friend. That’s Janine. She and Ben go way back. Completely different redhead.

Well, as far as “returning home” type stories go, this issue was pretty lukewarm. We didn’t even get to see Raelith get her ice cream. After reading the epic conclusion of Ultimate Spider-Man, this was really bland in comparison. At least Peter and May’s relationship is salvaged, which was a helluva lot better than what they did with the Radioactive Spider-Man in Age of Revelation.

One thing I think I can see happening is that Raelith can’t stay on Earth because it’s air, atmosphere or whatever is harmful to her immune system, which will lead to Peter newest breakup and probably leave him emotionally vulnerable or upset again.

Osborne’s story was more engaging than Peter’s has been this whole time, I’m sorry to say. Really says something when a stand-in Spider-Man is more interesting to read than the real Spider-Man is. Hopefully that will all change in this upcoming Death Spyral arc.

I don’t think Rae is long for this world. Or any world, for that matter.

Naw, I think it’s pretty obvious they only brought her in to kill her off, which is a bit of a bummer because I liked her. She’s like a self-depreciating version of Starfire, which is funny on its own.
